Updated Minecraft Texture Pack – HandsofFate Pack

I finally got to updating my texture pack to be compatible with Minecraft version 1.6.5. There were only a couple of new textures I had to select from the Painterly website, I just had to find them in the list. I’m glad to have my Painterly look back though, the default cobble is especially ugly in comparison.

Example of a few blocks.

I set the new wheat grass to the medium and tall height options, and one light and one dark color (both biome compliant). The desert shrubs I chose to be one of the short little cactus designs. And the only other big addition is the hatch, which I couldn’t really decide on. I don’t plan on using it for furniture or anything (they can make neat little tables on top of a fence post!), so I picked a design with 4 small openings almost like the default texture, but darker wood to match the doors in the texture pack.

If anyone’s interested in checking it out, you can download it from the My Minecraft Server page. And if you like the general feel, but not some of my choices, definitely check out the Painterly Pack official site, where you can choose from a wide selection of textures for each tile and item yourself.

I’ve got some more Mining to get done this evening, so until later, Happy Crafting!

  1. does anyone know when the c418′s 15 songs will be implemented into the game? please reply:P

    1. I haven’t heard anything as far as a time frame for adding songs, but I expect they would have to be added with some additional hard to find music discs. I think I might rather have more options on the menu for in-game music. Having a more constant soundtrack could be nice.
