Playing Minecraft is endlessly entertaining. After I got bored with projects such as terraforming and farming, there were other things to be done.
First off, I was gathering up resources from my various chest locations and discovered we have a problem down in the mine. A problem with Slimes that is. I used to think that the Slime was a rare mob in Minecraft, but clearly not any longer.
After pushing my way through the slimes, I headed back up to the main level of the fortress to grab all the cobble I could carry. I went up to a spot I had picked out a few days ago and began my bridging. Bridges are possibly my favorite thing to build in Minecraft. The number of styles you can use to create them plus the complete lack of physical limitations can make for some really cool and gigantic bridges.
Anyway, this bridge isn’t anything gigantic, but I think it turned out quite nicely and I’m happy with the look of it.
After completing the bridge I wasn’t sure where to build next, so I did some exploring! I don’t want to go into everything at once, but of the cool things that I found, probably the most awesome is the following land formation:
I think it’s clear that ancient peoples used to worship the Great Yawning Hippo and a sacrificial alter will need to be constructed post-haste. I am almost tempted to spawn some nether stone, as I can’t imagine anything but a burning altar being worthy of the Great Hippo.
Aside from that I finished up a couple other little things around the fortress, including the hangar for the airfield, which I mentioned before, and the indoor tree farm.
I have so many other things around the server that I need to post about, but it’s so hard once I get going to tear myself away from Minecraft.
Hope everyone’s projects are going well. If you’re reading and you play, you should be doing screenshots or video too, I love to see everyone’s work! And finally, here are the recent world maps. I skipped a couple where nothing had changed. Happy Crafting!
